Overview of Libera and Social Media Conference Cymru
Libera is a new bilingual digital creative agency specializing in digital advertising and content creation for social media. Since being established in 2023, Libera has worked with a number of exciting clients within the first year including TinInt, BBC Cymru Wales, Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, Urdd Gobaith Cymru, Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, Menter a Busnes and others.
Libera are also the organisers of Social Media Conference Cymru. Social Media Conference Cymru was held for the first time in September 2023, when 280 people in the marketing field came together in Cardiff to hear from experts in the sector and to network. Social Media Conference Cymru will return in 2024. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the growth of one of the main events of the marketing industry in Wales.
Overview of the role
We are keen to recruit a Marketing Officer with experience in marketing, creating content and organising or coordinating events. The successful candidate will be organised, creative, have an understanding of the digital landscape and social media, have excellent attention to detail and will be able to work as part of a small team, as well as to work independently.
Key responsibilities
Manage Social Media Conference Cymru social media accounts and social media plan
Be responsible for Social Media Conference Cymru social media plan
Create video and image content for the Social Media Conference Cymru social media accounts
Assist and lead on elements of organising Social Media Conference Cymru 2024 and any other events
Contribute to the creation of content for the Social Media Conference Cymru website
Copywriting for Social Media Conference Cymru email marketing
Work with Libera clients to contribute to client work on content creation, digital advertising and social media training
Plan, film and edit content
Offer input to creative ideas and plans
Being prepared to contribute creatively as part of the team
Required skills and attributes
The ability to speak and write copy in both Welsh and English
Willingness to learn
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
The ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and clients
The ability to think creatively and outside the box
Very high standards
A commitment to professional development and a culture of continuous improvement
Excellent knowledge of social media and user behaviour
The ability to write to a variety of audiences

Desirable experience
Experience of using video editing software
Experience of using Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience creating content for social media
Experience managing social media accounts
Experience contributing to organising an event or campaign
Previous experience working in a marketing and/or social media role

Terms
Libera is a 4 day working week company so full time is equivalent to working 4 days per week.
Full time contract for 12 months
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience
Pension contributions
20 days of annual leave (which is equal to 5 weeks based on a 4 day working week) + Bank Holidays
Location: Hybrid and flexible working - From home and from Carmarthen
